Edit a meal

updateupdate_meal

Updates selected fields of an existing meal: name, calories, protein, carbs, fat or date. Omitted fields remain unchanged. A date-only change preserves nutrition exactly. Requires the meal id. Portion changes accept the corrected totals for all known macros.

Result

One text item holding a JSON object, as in the example.

Moving a meal to another day keeps its numbers exactly: send only mealId and mealDate.
Editing a meal lets an identical log_meal call save again, even within two minutes.

This tool's own errors, each returned with isError: true:

Meal not found — check the mealId against the recent meals list.

Every tool returns isError with a message when its arguments don't match the schema, a limit is reached, the person turned the agent off, or iAM360 has a problem. See Errors and limits.
